Day 81: Humanity

Today we worked with larger cadaver parts today.
We were encouraged to make use of this amazing opportunity to look and understand what the body really is like.

I was excited, I wore gloves and got ready.

How my peers acted however, disgusted me. And I did not even want to touch the cadavers anymore because their lack of respect made me feel like by not touching them I could compensate for their behaviour.

They mocked the cadavers, expressing their "disgusted-ness" by shrieking, touching, then pulling away, and saying things like "I wonder if we can make them hold hands!"

I felt especially sick after that comment.

And if these guys want to be doctors.
God save their patients.
